The Perrin Technique: Rakhee Osteopathy is here for you
Updated: Oct 21, 2022
If you are struggling with your energy levels, concentration or conditions such as fibromyalgia, ME or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), then you may be interested in our treatment, The Perrin Technique. At Rakhee Osteopathy, we understand how debilitating it can be to feel exhausted all the time and how doing the smallest of things, such as walking up the stairs, can feel like climbing a mountain. You may have been an extremely active person in the past and have found that suddenly you are unable to do a fraction of what you could before. It’s really difficult to contemplate the notion of not being able to live the life you once had again. Thankfully, we hope to be able to help you get back some of the energy you used to have. If you are suffering from Long Covid, there is also mounting evidence that this technique is beneficial in reducing the symptoms of it.
What is The Perrin Technique?
The Perrin Technique is based on the work of Dr Raymond Perrin. He recognised that there can be different stress factors on the body - physical issues, allergies, emotions, or infections (such as Covid 19). All of these strains on the body put a strain on the body’s sympathetic nervous system. The concomitant of this is that the lymphatic system becomes deregulated and this leads to toxins being released into the fluid around the brain and the spinal cord. The technique involves massage of the soft tissues and gentle stroking of the lymphatic areas, as well as using cranial and spinal techniques. The toxins are released and encouraged into the bloodstream, which is then detoxified naturally by the liver. With this treatment, it enables the body to become more regulated and reduces the symptoms that you have been suffering from.
Why should I come to Rakhee Osteopathy?
At Rakhee Osteopathy, we are proud to have been awarded twice for excellence in our use of The Perrin Technique from Dr Perrin's clinic, The Perrin Clinic. We have seen many of our patients become so improved in the reduction of their symptoms that they have gone on to lead healthy and active lives. While everybody is different, we hope to be able to get you feeling much improved as a result of treatment.
Is this the treatment that I need?
The best way for us to assess whether or not The Perrin Technique would be a suitable treatment for you is to have an initial consultation to discuss your symptoms. During this appointment, we will also do a full medical history and find out what has been happening to you with the symptoms that you have. We will be together for 90 minutes to enable us to also discuss how the treatment works in depth, so that you are fully apprised of what is involved. We will examine the breast tissue and spinal cord as part of the appointment, before outlining what treatment we believe would be suitable for you. If The Perrin Technique is deemed appropriate, you can then make a fully informed decision about whether or not you would like to proceed with your bespoke treatment plan. If this is the right treatment for you, we hope to be able to help you heal as soon as possible.
