Do you need The Perrin Technique?

The Perrin Technique

Have you been feeling stressed or run down recently? Have you been suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) or ME? Or perhaps you have developed Long Covid and you don’t know what to do about it? Whatever your particular situation, Rakhee Osteopathy has a treatment that could help called The Perrin Technique. At our practice, we understand that it isn’t pleasant feeling too exhausted to clean the house, climb the stairs or get out of bed in the morning. If you have been a previously active person, you may be feeling overwhelmed by how incapacitated you have become, when the mind is willing and the body isn’t able to play ball. The fact is, no matter how much rest you get, you may also find that the symptoms aren't alleviated and you may be searching for a treatment that can help. The Perrin Technique has been proven to reduce symptoms associated with CFS, ME and Long Covid.

What is The Perrin Technique?

The Perrin Technique was developed in 1989 by Dr Raymond Perrin after he had realised that when the body is put under certain pressures such as emotional pressure, physical strains, environmental exposure to allergies or toxins, and infections, as well as a combination of these things, the body releases toxins into the spinal fluid and into the lymphatic system. Once there, the sympathetic nervous system is overloaded and this leads to the body not functioning as it should. The Perrin Technique has, therefore, been developed to address this imbalance in the body. It consists of soft tissue massage around the head, neck, back and chest, as well as stroking techniques around the lymphatic system to move the toxins into the bloodstream. Once there, this allows the body to naturally get rid of the toxins as the liver disposes of them. With the toxins removed, patients’ symptoms should then improve and become less severe.

Will The Perrin Technique work for me?

Each patient’s circumstances and requirements are unique to them. As such, it is impossible to say what will work best for you without thoroughly examining you. We, therefore, recommend an initial consultation, which will last 90 minutes. During this time, we will discuss your symptoms and how they are affecting your life. We will examine your breast and spinal tissue and we will also explain in depth how the treatment would work and the research that supports this. If this treatment is deemed to be suitable for your specific needs, we will then develop a tailored treatment plan for you. You can ask as many questions as you need to during this time to ensure that you are fully aware of what is involved and what will happen when you have your treatment if you decide that you would like to proceed with it.
