Suffering from a debilitating condition such as ME or CFS can be a difficult and frustrating way to live life when you want to be out there doing things that everyone else can do. With medications tried and results not happening as effectively as you may wish, you might have been considering an alternative therapy. You may not have received medication and you may not want to go down that road. Whatever your reasons for wanting to try, the Perrin Technique in London at Rakhee Osteopathy has been developed over 30 years and has had much success in reducing symptoms of ME, CFS, Fibromyalgia, post-viral fatigue and other conditions associated with the build-up of toxins in the lymphatic system and sympathetic nervous system.

By coming to Rakhee Osteopathy, we have the experience to help the best we can. Rakhee Mediratta has trained with Dr Ray Perrin who developed the technique and has since been using it from 2007. Rakhee is highly experienced and is one of the longest standing practitioners in the technique. Rakhee has used the technique with patients suffering with conditions such as Lyme Disease and neurological disorders because of their similarities in the systematic malfunctions that they have with ME and CFS.

How does the Perrin Technique work?

When the body experiences stress from the environment, physical injury, infection or emotional stress, this can cause the production of toxins in the body that normally are lost through the body’s lymphatic system and the liver. However, when there is an overload in the production of such toxins, there can be blockages. The Perrin Technique involves manual movement of these toxins, encouraging them to move through the body and to exit through the lymphatic system by massaging soft tissues in the surrounding areas of the lymphatic system. These areas are located in the head, neck, back and chest. As the toxins leave the body, the symptoms of the associated conditions should subside over time, if not disappear completely.

What you need to do

In order to find out if the Perrin Technique could work for you, you first need to fill in a Free Online Assessment Form. It will only take a few minutes and it is simply designed to let us know what you hope to achieve by having treatment, what symptoms you have and how long you have been experiencing them for.

After this, we will arrange an initial consultation with you, which will take 90 minutes. This will involve taking a full history, finding out how your condition impacts you and your life. We will also do a full physical examination and you are welcome to bring somebody with you if you feel more comfortable doing so. Following this, we will be able to make a diagnosis and a prognosis of what your treatment plan should be. We will tailor treatment to suit your specific needs and you are welcome to ask any questions you may have. We will also be ensuring that you understand what is involved in the treatment. We will also be able to then advise about follow-up treatment to aid your recovery.
