About Roberta

Born in London of Italian background, Roberta Parkin has worked as an osteopath for  close to ten years. Roberta is committed to improving the overall health and quality  of life of her patients using a range of techniques including specific adjusting  technique (SAT), classical osteopathy, visceral and facial release and craniosacral  therapy.

Roberta has now added the Perrin Technique to her practice which coincides with her  long held belief that one of the main causes of the body’s breakdown is a result of toxic overload.

Wide experience gained from working in many corners of the world including Morocco,  Canada and the U.K has given Roberta a perspective to better understand the  cultural, dietary and environmental considerations that make up a person’s health, and to formulate the most effective treatment plan.

Roberta graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in 2012 after a career in  reportage photography; both careers sharing the same goal of uncovering what is  really going on. She is registered with the General Osteopathic Council and is a  member of the Institute of Osteopathy. Roberta also has a diploma in therapeutic  sports massage and equine and animal osteopathy.

Roberta has attended many osteopathy courses throughout her career including the  treatment of concussions and the relationship between visuals, body and brain  (Eyebody). Throughout these courses there has been a shared theme, toxins. Roberta  discovered that these toxins can occur in numerous forms from heavy metals and  pollutants to stress, and all play a huge role in the body’s ability to recover and self  heal. She has been working on this premise for many years helping patients in  different parts of the world but meeting Rakhee and Dr Perrin provided the  confirmation and evidence that there is a clear path ahead to further understand  certain disease processes which still present baffling questions, such as ME/CFS and  most recently long Covid.

Roberta has completed training in osteopathy and gynaecology. This training involves treating women’s reproductive health looking at the ligaments, fascia and supporting tissues. Organs are given a different importance by osteopaths as opposed to gynaecologists because they look at their mobility and the motility. Combined with Roberta’s structural, craniosacral, myofasical and visceral techniques, this places her in a unique position to facilitate these changes in women’s reproductive health including helping women with painful and irregular periods, adhesive problems such as grade 1 and grade 2 endometriosis and sacral and uterine imbalances.

Certified Perrin Technique Practitioner

"Roberta is an amazing osteopath. She is very sensitive and endlessly intelligent about the ways of the body.  She is very knowledgeable and kind. The treatment is wonderful and she always seems to sense exactly what I need. I always feel better after the treatment, more connected, energetic and alive. I have been seeing her for a few weeks for CFS which I’ve had for two years and am very hopeful that she will help me recover."
