Updated: Jan 15, 2021

At Rakhee Osteopathy, we have extensive experience of treating patients with conditions such as ME and CFS using the Perrin technique in London. Our osteopath, Rakhee Mediratta, has been practising using this technique since 2007 having qualified in osteopathy and then undertaken further training with Dr Ray Perrin to become qualified in The Perrin Technique. We aim to help improve patients’ symptoms that are associated with ME and CFS.

What is the Perrin technique in London?

Patients with ME, CFS and other similar conditions can develop a build-up of toxins which overload the sympathetic nervous system, when they are exposed to a variety of stresses. The Perrin technique is used to diagnose ME and CFS, as well as treat these symptoms. Stresses can be caused by emotional factors such as friends, family or work; or also be environmental stresses from being exposed to toxins or allergies. Alternatively the damage can be physical stresses caused by things such as your posture or an injury, or it could be infectious stresses caused by either a virus or a bacterial infection.

When your body is exposed to one or more of these stresses, it can cause the toxins to become congested around the brain and the spinal cord. Ordinarily, a regular amount of toxins will be drained away by the lymphatic system and passed to the liver which then removes them from the body. However, when the toxins overwhelm the body, they don’t drain away. Treatment using the Perrin technique is designed to help encourage the drainage of the lymphatic system and to alleviate the associated symptoms of such blockages.

How does the Perrin technique in London work?

Using gentle manipulation and massage around the head, neck, chest and back, we can encourage the toxins to drain. This osteopathic treatment has been developed by Dr Ray Perrin and administering this treatment has seen symptoms improve for patients suffering with Lyme disease, post-viral fatigue and fibromyalgia as well.

What do I need to do?

If you are interested in finding out more about how we can help, the first thing you need to do is book in for an initial consultation. This will last about 90 minutes and we will need to take a full medical history. We will also need to give you a medical examination to be able to give you a diagnosis for your condition. We will also be able to outline your treatment plan and answer any questions you may have. It is important to us that you fully understand what is involved in the treatment and how long treatment may be required for.

We also have a quick online 5 minute free assessment for the Perrin technique, which we recommend you complete first. Here, you will be able to tell us a bit more about yourself, including what your goal for treatment is, what your symptoms are and how long you’ve had the symptoms for. From this initial information, we will be able to give you an idea of how we may be able to help before you commit to the full consultation.

So, if you have been struggling with any symptoms associated with ME, CFS or similar conditions, why not see what we can do to help you. We’re here for you.
