The Perrin technique for CFS/ME

The Perrin Technique in London

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (CFS/ME) is a multisystem disorder which is described as severe, debilitating fatigue which worsens with exercise, but does not improve with rest. It is a life-changing condition and can prevent patients from being able to carry out daily activities for themselves, leaving them bed bound or in a wheelchair within a short amount of time. It can affect both men and women and symptoms can begin at any stage of life. It can target previously healthy patients, but it can also be found in those with underlying conditions.

CFS/ME is a complicated disorder which still causes much debate amongst doctors and other healthcare professionals. Despite significant advances in medicine and much research into CFS/ME there is no universally accepted method of diagnosing the disease, therefore it can often be a long process before patients receive the care and treatment that they require. Not only does this have a significant impact on the patient’s health and mental wellbeing, it can affect other aspects of their life, burden friends and loved ones, and result in health complications for the future.

If you suspect that you are suffering from CFS/ME then you need to speak to us at Rakhee Osteopathy and find out about the Perrin technique in London.

What does the Perrin technique do?

The Perrin technique in London was first established in 1989 and since then it has been widely used for diagnosing CFS/ME, but also in helping patients manage their symptoms more successfully so that they can begin to get their life back on track. As this is a multi-system disorder, it may present itself differently in each patient. Our team here at Rakhee Osteopathy have been awarded twice for our excellence in delivering the Perrin technique in London. We will take a full medical history from you and we will carry out an observation and examination which will help us diagnose your symptoms. After this we will put together an individually tailored treatment plan to help you combat the symptoms that you are experiencing.

Research shows that there are many different factors which may result in the symptoms of CFS/ME. Changes in the endocrine system which result in hormonal disturbances may be responsible for CFS/ME. Immunological disorders, infections and viruses can also cause the symptoms which are found in CFS/ME. Nervous system disorders and lymphatic disorders which result in the build-up of toxins in the body, especially the cerebrospinal fluid, are also thought to be responsible for the development of CFS/ME. Here at Rakhee Osteopathy, we will try and find out how your symptoms may have begun and this will help us put together a treatment plan that helps you begin your road to recovery. The Perrin technique can be used alongside conventional pharmacotherapy or it can be used alone to help manage your condition more comfortably to make life easier for yourself. Speak to us at Rakhee Osteopathy today and let us put together a treatment plan for you which is individually tailored for your personal requirements, which you are able to maintain and adhere to, and hopefully together we can alleviate your symptoms and get your life back on track.
