Learning the theory behind the Perrin Technique

Many of our patients suffering from symptoms may be unsure of what to expect from the treatment process at our clinic, in addition to the theory behind our practice. Dr Perrin suggests that different stress factors, be they physical, environmental, or possibly even emotional, either individually or as a combination, can lead to an overload on the sympathetic nervous system, which therefore leads to a multitude of unwanted symptoms which are associated with both ME and CFS, which patients therefore wish to alleviate.

So how does the Perrin Technique work

This technique takes advantage of a specialist osteopathic approach that essentially manually stimulates the fluid which surrounds the brain, and spinal cord, which consequently leads to better draining of the lymphatic system.

What to expect from the treatment

Patients can expect to receive gentle manipulation of the tissues surrounding the back and chest area, in addition to both the neck, and the head. This technique essentially encourages healthy functioning of both the lymphatic system, and the sympathetic nervous system which leads to a decrease of unpleasant physical symptoms, and stressors.
